Full Solar Eclipse on the Winter Solstice
I hope some of you got to see the solstice eclipse. I'm in S. CA and it was pouring. It only rains about 10 days a year. How unfortunate it happened to be on the same night as the eclipse. I don't know why I didn't think to watch it live on a website. Oh well. Metaphysically, the meanings for eclipses are all over the place. I do know I had trouble sleeping. I went to bed at midnight, woke up at 4 AM and was wide awake. I finally crawled back into bed at 6 AM and woke up at 10:30 AM fully rested. Weird.

Princess of Swords Today's Card
Victory after an inner conflict of the soul.
I like that the Ancestral Path Tarot has a Princess. The suit of swords in this deck is represented by the Asian culture. The sword can be used as a tool or a weapon.
Right now I feel like I'm at war with my health and learning to cope with fears that becoming older bring to the surface. How much of our own pain do we create? How do we heal ourselves? How do we enjoy our blessings even when we are in chronic pain? How do we appreciate what we already have? So many hard lessons to learn.

Daily Card Nine of Staves
The card I drew today was the Nine of Staves (Wands). A card representing hard physical labor. And the universe telling me I need to give it a rest already because I'm exhausting myself with worrying about my health. Nine is the number of completion, so hopefully I'll have this negative energy out of my life and I'll start feeling better soon.The ironic part of it all is since I've had trouble with my hands, I've been avoiding physical labor like the plague. So I guess I'll continue to take a rest from physical labor.
