Portal to Esoterica

I started a new You Tube channel yesterday called Portal to Esoterica. I seem to be having issues with my camera though. Time to start saving for a new one. I was inspired by Real Witches of Orange County hosted by Jaqueline Dubois. I was thinking about contacting her when I lived in the OC but I don't live there anymore so I started an independent channel. Now I need to review everything I know about tarot, astrology, metaphysics, mediumship and other topics so I can speak with authority on my channel.

Snow Moon, Tarot and Past Life Regressions

The snow moon a few days ago was amazing. We were driving up Highway 18 just as it was rising over the hills with it's huge disk and orange yellow glow.

Then two nights later I stepped out under the stars and a beautiful white disk was glowing behind a tall white tree. Absolutely magical.

As I sort through things from storage, I'm finding more and more tarot decks. I'm itching to start doing readings again. I don't mind doing them online from my Etsy shop, but I much prefer real life in my home.  I'm just not sure anyone is up for driving to my new home out in the boonies of Lucerne Valley. But if you are, readings are $30 for half an hour and $1 a minute from there. I have many alternate decks as well.

If you'd rather do hypnosis to uncover past lives, that is a flat rate of $75 and takes approximately one hour. I'm happy to take Paypal or cash or barter of equal value.

Practical Magic Revisited

The last few days I’ve been obsessed with the movie Practical magic. I want to revisit the scene where the coffee cup stirs itself. I really like the long hairstyles and the clothing the two aunts wear. So I looked up some photos on the library computer.  Today we were going to a thrift store but the one we wanted to go to was closed. So my boyfriend went to a different one. She had bookcases full of videos.  I was browsing the first two rows and then I remembered about Practical Magic. So I said to myself ‘if I’m meant to have this video it will be here’. At that point I’d only seen the one bookcase of videos.  So I stopped and scanned each title on the first two rows. Then I thought ‘it’s not going to be here so just how much time do I want to spend reading every title.’ But in the middle of the very next row I found it. How about that! It was $2 so my boyfriend got that and the Last of the Mohicans so we could have a movie night tonight. Way to manifest!

Solitary Witch

Last night I watched a bunch of videos by the Real Witches of Orange County on Youtube. It made me wonder what happened to me in the last 10 years that took me away from my goddess quests. I totally let myself get railroaded into a lifestyle I didn't want and that didn't suit me. I fear that the same thing will happen at the new place unless I put my foot down and quit giving up things I love just because I get no support for them from my lover. For one, I want to start meditating alone each day and setting up altars and paying homage to the god(s) and the goddess(es) of old. Sometimes I think I'd be better off living alone. I'm not sure you can be a witch and live with others.

Butterfly blouse

The saga continues.  Today we went to pick up the U-haul moving van we had reserved.  At this point I shouldn't even be surprised, but the art on the side of the van was a butterfly.

 

Stang and Headstone

Right now I just want to be at my new house. It's 111 miles from my present apt. The rent is already paid. I could be sleeping there. But first we have to move out.  We hit a snafu yesterday because we found out we couldn't get the moving van until Monday. (Stupid sabbath that still determines business hours). You'd think a company that helps people move would be open on weekends so people can move.

I can't wait to be able to see the stars in the desert. Maybe I can even get a telescope. The harvest moon was spectacular. I got to see it rise a few nights ago. Luna is going to be even more spectacular in the desert.

My new yard has a stang in it.  I can't wait to clean up around it and cross some arrows over it.  Arrows we have in plenty. But there is a lot of farm junk including barbed wire around it, so clearing out around it is going to be a challenge. One day at a time, right? We also found a headstone in the backyard, still attached to a frame. I looked the name up and the man is buried in the Lucerne Memorial Park, so I have no idea why his headstone is here. I'm also not sure what to do with it. We are only renting, so I guess I'll have to ask the landlady if it means anything to her. I thought maybe there was a typo on it, but it all matches up with the memorial park roster. She didn't even know how old the house was, and surely she knows it's in the yard since she lives next door. It seems if she wanted it, she would have taken it to her house long ago. Perhaps I can get a ride to the memorial park and see if his grave has a marker. Curiouser and curiouser.

Gargoyles

Today I lucked out at the .99 Store and found these cute items to get me in the Samhain mood. I love getting Halloween goodies on the cheap. Oops, I guess these are 'grotesques' since Gargoyles have water coming out of their mouths. Details details. Like many witches, October is my favorite month. Enjoy.

I just packed all my tarot books for the big move. I had no idea I had so many of them. I should re-read them and give them away to someone who is new to tarot. Or maybe I'll need them for tarot classes in my new home.
